Guard Your Mind With Strict Prejudice
Dear Friends, especially entrepreneurs and dreamers,
I wanted to share something with you that might touch a cord with some of you and be lost in the context for the rest.
However, if you are someone who dreams about having something more than what they have now, then stay with me because you are going to want to read all of this.
If you are not one of these people, then don’t worry about going any further. This message won’t mean much to you…
I was talking out a personal strategy on the phone the other day with a business owner that I’ve known my whole life.
This person has a lot of business experience and is successful in their own right with the business they own. Now, not to go on and on about the details, but I was working out a tough financial situation I find myself in. It isn’t anything that would cause alarm or hardship, but I would like to change my direction and continue to stay on the right financial path.
After talking through a possible strategy, we got off the phone and were left to decide a next course if need be.
Well, a day later they called back with a possible strategy that they believed to be good for me. I listened and it broke my heart to hear the words coming from them and the advice being dealt.
I am a dreamer at heart and have been chasing the life of a risk taking entrepreneur for a long time. I also know the risk and reward to this pursuit of being an entrepreneur. I am not fully where I want to be, yet! But, the biggest thing is that I am a dreamer and I protect my dreams like a warrior protects his family.
So, it will come as no surprise to you to find out that NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, tells me that I can’t do something or should give up on my dreams. And, the advice that was given to me was exactly that. I was told that owning your own business is for when you are in your late 40’s or 50’s after you worked 40 years at a company making someone else rich. “Heck, that is what we did…” I was told…
I don’t know about you, but that is a bunch of horse manure advice if you ask me. What the hell kind of thinking was that to deal me that advice. I would have rather heard, “What do you think you are doing wrong? And how can you adjust course to make your dreams come true?” Shit, anything of meaningful purpose, direction, or guidance would have been great. I know, I know…
…they were probably just concerned about my well-being.
I turned down every single piece of advice this person gave and became so damn indigent that I believe I am going to be one step closer to actually making my dreams come true.
Actually, I want to thank the person who gave me that shitty advice because it fueled a fire within to get moving and blew away the clouds that have been blinding my view of the top.
I hope none of you ever let anyone get in your way or you never let anyone tell you that you need to put your dreams on hold to work for someone else or they tell you to that you can’t have something. Don’t you dare let them do that to you!
Tell them, politely if you have to, to go to hell and don’t speak to you about those matters anymore.
Surround yourself with like minded, positive, self-directed, and motivating people. Those people will be the ones who share in your success and happiness.
Oh, I also learned from this conversation, there is a difference between a business owner and an entrepreneur. A business owner can be an entrepreneur if, and only if, their dream to build something great is what fuels their soul. It is like they have found their soul mate and can’t live without them.
If a business owner gets up in the morning and gets ready to go to their work, then they do nothing more than own their job.
If it wasn’t for the entrepreneur (whatever size dream they built) there wouldn’t be America today to call our own land of opportunity.
What I received was advice from a business owner and I’m not mad at them for the advice, just cautious who I share my thoughts with from now on.
I hope you are cautious as well…

If you ever wanted to finally make a difference in your life and really get the success you dream of, there are 7 easy to follow decisions you can make that will get you from where you currently are today, to the fantasy land that is just roaming around in your head now.
Number 1: Your mindset…
…You may have heard this said about a million times, but the truth of the matter is that we all live in two worlds. The two worlds are of those that have the right mindset and those that don’t. Let me explain…
…I discovered what really sets the successful apart from those that are not successful is the fact that they have the right mindset when approaching what they want in life.
Take for example the first time you saw that person who swept you off your feet. Did you really care about anything else except for one thing – “I am going to meet and learn more about that person?”
That was all that was running through your mind. You didn’t care if that person said “No”, you didn’t care what your friends thought, you didn’t let your fear get in your way, and you were focused, you were determined, and you were going to overcome all obstacles to get to know this person.
Well, that is what makes up successful people’s mindset. They pretty much don’t let anything get in their way.
So, make the decision to commit your mind to be free of fear, worries of comments, or anything else that would get in your way. You are going to remain a solid rock of focused determination.
Number 2: Take Responsibility For You Actions…
…If you want to get past all the B.S. and failure you have experienced in life, you need to step up to the plate and take full responsibility for your success.
No one is going to hand you success because you “believe” you are entitled to it for some irrationality swimming around in your mind. The person who complains, blames, and justifies every little thing that goes wrong in their life usually never gets the ultimate prize…
…you have to be responsible for what is happening. You have to get off the “blame everyone else wagon” and start seeing what really is going on around you. If you haven’t reach your full potential (which none of us have), then you need to realize that success is really an individual sport.
Yes, we can become very successful as a team, but each of us needs to contribute to that success, and individually, we have to be success for the whole thing to be successful.
Imagine what you’ll accomplish when you stop looking at other people, or some other factor, and start doing some self-reflection into your own successes and mistakes…
…when you realize what is really happening, you can make the correct course adjustments and really get on the road to success once and for all.
So, make the decision today to take full responsibility for your current situation, and live by this.
Number 3: Get The Right Knowledge…
…I used to think that if someone would tell me something, it must be true. I know that is a pretty naïve thing to do, but I wanted to believe everyone was good and truthful.
I quickly came to realize that many people can paint a good picture, but can never really give you the true path to follow to get what they painted. They simply got my money.
Well, it wasn’t all bad because I learned fast and I learned that wisdom doesn’t come from years of living, but from listening to the right people and then going out and finding out if what they told you was true.
Just like you are reading this now, you shouldn’t believe one doggone word I am telling you. You should go out and experiment with what you have learned here and take what works for you and discard the rest.
Bruce Lee was a master at this. He sought out great “Masters” to train under. And when he was adapting the moves he was taught, he would take what would works for him and throw away the rest. Why? There must be some great pieces of information in what he threw away, right?
NOPE! There wasn’t…
…what was going to work for him was what he experiment with and used. All the rest was just filler that didn’t do you any good but to get in your way and slow you down.
You can adapt this model to personal and business success. You simply take what works for you and get rid of the rest. This will cut your time wasted following misguided direction and ultimately get you to success quicker.
So, seek out the right formula for you and make it yours.
Number 4: Be Decisive…
My dad had a great saying that I think all fathers have said to their children once before, “Shit or get off the pot.”
That old saying has more relevance than anything else…
…if you truly want to be successful at anything in life (or in businesses), you need to make a decision and follow through with it. The process of making a decision (whether right or wrong) slows more business and personal success than anything else.
So many people get in their own way here. They will sit on the fence for days, weeks, months, and years contemplating everything before they finally get the courage to make a decision.
And when they finally do, they are either insanely happy they finally did, and wonder why they didn’t sooner, or disappointed they missed out on a great opportunity.
When you doubt yourself (which takes us back to Number 1 Mindset) you tend to stall and take forever to make a decision to do something. That “something” is usually action, which I am going to cover a little later, so keep reading.
So, if you want more success, become more decisive.
Number 5: Be Willing To Make Mistakes…
…This one goes along with many of the others, especially being decisive, because we are so darned condition to believe that mistakes are bad.
Albert Einstein said it so brilliantly, “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything.”
I don’t know of any successful person in life or in business that hasn’t tried several things to find failure in each of them before they became successful.
Take your own life as an example…
…when you wanted to learn how to walk, you fell many times before you got the hang of it. Well, success follows the same guidelines as learning to walk. You stumble and make a few mistakes before you get it right, but when you do, WOW… LOOK OUT WORLD BECAUSE HERE I COME!
Try for a month or two to make a few small mistakes that don’t put you or anyone else in harm’s way, so you can get the hang of making a few mistakes. See how it feels and what you learn from it. I will bet you will learn a great deal about yourself and how to correct course to get better and ultimately become wildly successful. This is the equivalent of testing.
When you test you learn, and when you learn you grow, and when you grow you gain the confidence to become what you want.
So, take the advice of the ages and stop listening to our educational system about mistakes. Mistakes will be what makes you the person you are… SUCCESSFUL!
Number 6: Take Action…
This is the ultimate of ultimate success principles taught by just about everyone, and no one will deny that action is the key that unlocks the doorway to the path of success.
However, it probably is the number one thing that stands in most people’s way when it comes to success…
Why?…
I wish I had the answer and the ultimate solution because I would be one very popular person.
However, I can give one suggestion and that would be that fear of the unknown is what chains people to the floor and keep them from taking action.
That fear is like having two 5 gallon buckets cemented to your feet. It will sink you to the bottom of the river.
Yet, there is nothing to fear, except the unknown that is…
Why is the unknown so scary?
It’s because we all want SUCCESS, but the work and responsibility that comes with it requires change, and that change will take you out of your current comfort zone and into something unknown.
Stop fearing that and let your ability to adapt and overcome allow you to have the success you want.
So, if you take more action, you will find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Number 7: Commit and Follow Through…
Now that you have taken action, the road to the top of the mountain isn’t paved in all gold. It will require that you persist and persevere over a lot of obstacles and roadblocks.
There are going to be things that will get in your way, and you will have to learn how to solve them, but those obstacles will give you the character to remain at the top of the mountain once you get there.
Make the road trip a fun, exciting, and entertaining one. I know this may not sound like the advice you were thinking of getting, but life is short, and if you can’t do things on your terms, then what the heck are you doing them for?
Business and life should be made up of fun, excitement, and have some entertainment in it somewhere. Without it, we all age too quickly and end up coming to our final destination with a sour attitude wishing we could have had more fun.
Create determination filled with this and you will see your success in life, and in business, be far greater than you can imagine. Following through and creating what you want will become like a game and not like a JOB.
No one like the word job and when you can make it like a game, it ultimately becomes something everyone wants.
So, have the perseverance to make your dream a reality and you will gain the riches in life.
These are only some of the factors that make up success, but they are some of the most important. Do what is right for you and I know you will have the life you want.
Stay true,

Dear Friends,
Have you ever wanted to get more done, accomplish something you always dreamed of, make more money, or just wanted to finally get healthier?
Well, there is a way…
…and while I was in the Marine Corps, I learned the secret…
…The one thing I believe I took too heart the most while in the Marine Corps was learning how to stay on a schedule that becomes a regular routine for your daily life.
The most important regimen we followed was being “squared away.” This means, your uniform is pressed, your shoes are shined, your cover (hat) is in order, and your personal appearance is without a doubt, “shit hot” (a little Marine lingo for you).
So, how did we maintain these high standards day-after-day?
We learned to develop a regimen for ourselves. Something we did everyday, no matter what! We didn’t deviate from our set pattern; we would do it everyday. This gave us our personal and physical advantage.
…A regimen can and will give you an advantage over anyone else trying to compete with you in anything.
If you want to dominate your competition, just develop regimens that continuously give you an upper-hand over all the competition and then watch your business grow exponentially.
…If you want to get more done, just set an appointment for what you want done daily, live by your regimen, and then watch it become a reality…
…If you want to get in shape, the best way is to regimen it on a daily basis.
Regimen for Success
How do you make these changes in your life? It’s an easy simple 2 step process. I like to use the K.I.S.S. principle here (Keep It Simple Smarty).
First, you have to want it…
…You have to have made up you mind already and have it firmly placed in your psyche you want to become wealthier, happier, healthier, or whatever else your goals may be.
Once you have your mind made up, don’t get overwhelmed…
…Simply make up a regimen for yourself. It can be as simple as saying I am going to get up at 5am every morning and go walking…
…you can say at “this” time every day I am going to write, or you could say we are going to handle inbound customers “this” way. Whatever your regimen is make it a habit to do it no matter what.
If you don’t do it or skip to many times, then you don’t have a regimen and you won’t find the success you are seeking.
The old saying goes, “A journey of a thousand miles starts with one single step forward.”
A regimen begins the same way…
…Your journey to your goals will begin with your first step. And that leads us to the second part of this principle.
Second, TAKE ACTION and remember don’t get lazy and tell yourself that you will do it later, or you will do it tomorrow.
Yes, there is always tomorrow, but if you have been saying that too often, then you need to stop making “tomorrow” an excuse.
Get off your butt, or get out of bed and do something!
It may be difficult to start; however, once you have started, momentum will kick in and you will begin to move forward without even thinking about it or complaining it’s too hard, it hurts, or you just can’t do it.
Try not to let what you can’t do get in the way of what you can do.
We all have limitation, but if you set a good regimen for yourself, take action, and have the discipline to stick to it, then you will see your goals and dreams blossom into what you want.
May Your Regimens Meet Success,

The Way To Abundance… In all areas of your life.
My sister and I were talking the other day about her competition bow shooting and I was reflecting on her passion, or aggressiveness, on winning. For those of you who have never heard of competition bow shooting, it is an individual sport requiring great concentration, patience, and focus. It requires its competitors to look down the sites, focus, breath (the most important part), and release the bowstring with precise excellence. If you would watch a Japanese Kyudo exhibition you would be blown away with how graceful the Kyudoist makes it look.
As I was trying to make my point, I told her I came across a Zen thought that would help her quest for first place and give her a little more meaning in her life’s journey. It was about becoming a marksmen rather than a simple competitor. Ying-An says, “It is like archers. If they start out competing, they’ll never become marksmen. It is only long after practice, with no thought of winning or losing, that they can hit the target. Same with the study of the Way. If even a single thought of winning or losing appears, you will be chained to winning and losing.”
I had told her, “This is what I am trying to say about your shooting. Don’t focus on beating your competition. Let that go and focus on hitting the target without shooting. Your focus should be on purely the perfect pull, aim, steadiness, breath, release, and follow through. Then, your arrow will hit its designated point without prejudice. Remember, only with dedicated practice can one achieve this goal. So, the next time you practice, do so with conviction and courage for the path that leads to greatness is in the simplest of solutions.”
By now you are asking yourself, how does this fit in the picture of my life and what I am doing when I am not a competition bow shooter? Well, it fits in just perfectly. Most of us go through life competing. Now you may not agree, but think clearly of what I am saying. We do compete with others and ourselves on a daily basis. Maybe not so obvious, but we do. Take a look in the mirror and tell me if you would like to change something. If so, guess what, you are competing with your own image.
I am trying to help you find a way to look deep inside your soul and see if winning or losing is what is the most important to you. If so, then, like John Lennon says, “Imagine” what would happen if you released yourself from the handcuffs of the concept of winning or losing and focus instead on the Way.
No one wins or loses in life. We all live and die, but it is how we lived the Way that matters the most. If your focus is on winning or losing, then you will let life pass you by with never a reflection that you can be proud of. I challenge you to stop focusing on winning or losing and focus on the Way.
The Way is the pursuit of living your life without barriers, chains, or handcuffs. How you engage your life will be what you will get out of it. I have a “rules of engagement” saying, “What you put into your health and fitness is what you will get out of your body.” This is the same as the way you live you life. If you put winning and losing as the most important aspect of living, then you will be fighting a losing battle.
Forget about winning and losing and begin to live your life, for it is far too short to be concerned with winning or losing.
Best wishes on your pursuit,
Jason Froehlich – www.thesecretformulaforsuccess.com

Courage in the FACE of Adversity…
Dear Friends,
When we think of courage, our thoughts are usually of a fire fighter rushing into a burning building while everyone else is running out, or of a police officer who faces off with criminals who are shooting at them while everyone else is hitting the deck, or of our brave soldiers who go off to some foreign land to fight a so called “enemy.”
Actually, courage is getting up and facing reality or our lives consistently day in and day out. It takes courage the face the “enemy” within us – that invisible adversary we all try to hide from.
Many of our problems could be solved if we would just take a few minutes a day to self-reflect; take the courage to see our faults and our accomplishment and give ourselves a pat on the back for doing this.
Adversity isn’t a gun battle or some other event like that. It is really the adversity we create for ourselves. It is the pain that we feel physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
It’s through facing these great adversities with strength and courage that we learn our true character. These foes can come in the form having to learn something new, taking that new step to help ease the pain we lived with for so long, or just having faith in a new healing process that we may never have heard of. It can be taking on a new challenge in your life that may just catapult you to a higher level. You may have to leave a certain group in order to fly to higher levels.
Great courage comes in having faith in ourselves and believing we can do it. Facing your fears is one of the most challenging things you can do as a human.
You don’t see birds refusing to leave their nest because they are afraid to fly; they simply spread their wings and take flight, seemingly fearless. They do what is necessary by taking the first step to leave the “nest” and learn how to fly.
The same is true for our fears; we need to learn to just take that first step and have faith you will catch the wind under your wings and begin to fly. This takes courage and when you are willing to take that first step, you are courageous and you deserve to be recognized for it.
So, I’m glad you found the courage to take the first step.
Dream big,
Jason Froehlich
