Who is Jason
Froehlich? Jason Froehlich is the founder of College Women’s
V.T.S. (Vital Target Striking) Self-Defense. He is a U.S. Marine Veteran and a martial
artist with over 20 years of self-defense and martial arts experience. He is also the owner, operator
and head instructor of Folsom Martial Arts Center, located in Folsom, CA.
- What is Jason’s self-defense
background?
Jason has over 20 years of experience in boxing, kickboxing, and
tactical military-style self defense. He is an eclectic and lifelong martial
artist/self-defense expert, having trained in stand-up and ground defense; he continues to learn a variety of
martial arts such as Eskrima and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He holds a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo and a 2nd
degree black belt in Hapkido.
- What can I expect my daughter to
learn?
You can expect your daughter to learn exactly how, when and where to strike an
attacker. She will learn to strike hard and with a purpose. She will learn how to
inflict direct, immediate and severely damaging injury on an attacker to make him STOP and/or retreat.
- In what way will my daughter transform in just
3 days?
The biggest transformation that will occur in your daughter after training
with me for 3 days will probably be her mentality, meaning this: She will no longer be prone to adopt the
“panic” mindset. Instead, she will adopt a “survival” mindset. She would have developed the
confidence in her ability to defend herself and she will realize that it is absolutely
acceptable for her to defend herself in a sexual assault situation. She will realize that she is
worth defending; she will become her own body guard, learn how to recognize
danger, eliminate all threats and get to safety.
- What will the atmosphere be like at the
seminar?
The atmosphere at the seminar will be safe – although your daughter will be
learning lethal self defense skills, she will NOT be subjected to a prison brawl and walk away
with a broken nose or her arm in a sling. The atmosphere will also be serious – she will be learning very
effective, serious tactical self-defense; this is the type of self-defense that will make her attacker realize
very quickly that she is very capable of defending herself and counter-attacking him. However, the atmosphere
will also be very empowering – your daughter will leave the seminar believing in
herself and knowing that if a self-defense situation were to ever arise, she now is armed with the tools to
fight back.
- Is there an age requirement or an age limit for
College Women’s V.T.S. Self-Defense?
Absolutely NOT. Although the
seminar will be focusing on teaching mainly college-bound girls (i.e. Juniors and Seniors), V.T.S. (Vital
Target Striking) Self-Defense, in essence, is meant for all women. The seminar is
open to young women currently attending college who would like to learn self-defense. Jason takes genuine pride
and joy in teaching self-defense to women of all ages. He teaches female students ranging from ages 4 to 60,
and they all learn realistic, tactical self-defense.
- Will my daughter be learning strictly self
defense, or is this program heavily centered on philosophical principles of martial
arts?
NO, your daughter will not be learning any philosophical principles of martial
arts whatsoever. She will be learning strictly hands-on, tactical self
defense. As a martial artist and self defense expert I can absolutely testify that martial
arts and self defense are not synonymous.

"As a young girl getting ready to go off to college in less
than a year, I have many anxieties about being prepared for the obstacles
associated with living on my own. I am extremely grateful for taking this easy
and practical self-defense course; the instructors were wonderful and I have
gained the ability to defend myself and have gained confidence to live on my
own."
